God's Got My back

September 12, 2023 was the day I told my husband I was done.

I was terrified. I had no job, no money of my own. I had been a stay at home mom since my oldest was born in 2012. After certain events and broken promises, I knew that it was time to leave the marriage. My kids were homeschooled. I had to put my kids in school so I could find a job.

I looked for a job for a month. No one would hire a 36 year old mom who hadn't worked for such a long time. I applied to every place I possibly could that would work with my kids' school schedule.

One day, after dropping the kids off at school, I sat in the parking lot, with tears in my eyes. "God, please, I need a job. Please find me a job."

Later that evening, my oldest had soccer practice. After practice was over and everyone was walking back to their cars, I noticed this German Shepherd dog pacing back and forth, stressed out, and scared. I asked a few people if it was their dog and they all said no. I knew in my heart I had to help her. I understand that scared dogs can be reactive sometimes so I carefully approached her but she wouldn't stop pacing long enough for me to catch her. I thought, "Maybe she will get in the car if I open the car door." Sure enough, she hopped right in. I called the number on her collar and her mom, an older lady, came to pick her up.

The lady came by to pick up her up and we got to talking.  She told me how she worked that day and then the dog wandered off.

Right then, a little voice in my head says, "ask her where she works."

I was like umm no I'm not doing that.

"Ask her where she works!"

ok ok. I asked her,  "So, where do you work?"

She tells me, then I get that voice again. "Ask her if they are hiring"

At this point, I think this little voice in my head was me being desperate and I was like no, I'm not doing that, that's crazy.

"Ask her if they are hiring!

ok ok, fine. "Soo ummmm, do you happen to know if your work is hiring?"

She looks right at me and says, "Well, I'm not sure, why don't you come to the shop tomorrow morning and fill out an application?"

I get there the next morning, and I kid you not, that lady is the owner and president of the company which she did not tell me that the night before.

I was hired, right there on the spot.

The little voice was the Holy Spirit. He knew the perfect job for me and provided it.

Yall, God provides EVERYTHING we need. We just have to be patient and let Him move in our lives.

God sent this dog right to me.
